Awareness & Advocacy Giving Policy

Last Updated: August 27, 2026

At Sweet Talks Tees, we believe clothing and accessories can do more than make a statement. They can start conversations, raise awareness, celebrate communities, and help us give back to causes that matter.

Our Awareness & Advocacy Collection and designated giving collaborations were created with that purpose in mind.

For every qualifying item sold, Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 from our proceeds toward the nonprofit cause, community initiative, or advocacy program designated for that product or collection.

Transparency is an important part of that commitment. This policy explains how our giving program works, how contributions are calculated, the causes our products support, how recipient organizations are selected, and how customers can follow the impact generated through qualifying purchases.

Our $2 Giving Commitment

For every qualifying Awareness & Advocacy item sold, Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 from the sale toward the cause designated for that product or collection.

This $2 comes from Sweet Talks Tees. It is not an additional charge or donation collected from the customer at checkout.

Our standard calculation is simple:

  • 1 qualifying item sold = $2 allocated
  • 2 qualifying items sold = $4 allocated
  • 5 qualifying items sold = $10 allocated
  • 10 qualifying items sold = $20 allocated
  • 100 qualifying items sold = $200 allocated

Unless a particular campaign expressly states otherwise, this is a fixed $2-per-item commitment and is not dependent upon the retail price or profit margin of the product.

Products outside of our Awareness & Advocacy Collection or another specifically designated giving collection do not generate a contribution under this program unless their product page expressly states otherwise.

Causes We Support

Each qualifying Awareness & Advocacy product is assigned to a specific cause.

The $2 generated by the sale of that item is allocated specifically toward eligible nonprofit work supporting that designated cause.

Our current areas of giving include:

LGBTQ+ Support & Pride

Qualifying Pride and LGBTQ+ Awareness products generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.

This may include LGBTQ+ youth support, mental health and crisis services, suicide prevention, advocacy, education, outreach, community resources, and related programs.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Mental Health Awareness

Qualifying mental health awareness products generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting mental health.

This may include mental health education, prevention and early intervention, youth mental health programs, crisis resources, community support, research, advocacy, and related services.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

PTSD Awareness & Survivor Support

Qualifying PTSD and trauma-awareness products generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting people affected by PTSD and trauma.

This may include PTSD awareness, trauma recovery resources, survivor services, mental health programs, education, advocacy, crisis resources, and related support.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Childhood Cancer Awareness

Qualifying childhood cancer awareness products generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.

This may include childhood cancer research, patient and family assistance, treatment initiatives, awareness programs, emotional support, education, and related services.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Anti-Bullying, Kindness & Youth Support

Qualifying anti-bullying and kindness products generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting bullying prevention, youth empowerment, kindness initiatives, education, mental health resources, community outreach, and related programs.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Racial Justice, Equality & Civil Rights

Qualifying products designated for racial justice, equality, or civil rights generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting civil rights, racial justice, equality, education, advocacy, legal initiatives, community programs, and related efforts.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Veterans & Military Families

Qualifying products designated for veteran and military support generate $2 per item sold toward nonprofit work supporting veterans, wounded veterans, service members, military families, mental health resources, transition assistance, community programs, and related services.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying item sold

Little Miss Wyoming 2026 × Sweet Talks Tees

In addition to our nonprofit-focused Awareness & Advocacy giving, Sweet Talks Tees participates in designated community collaborations supporting specific initiatives.

Our Little Miss Wyoming 2026 × Sweet Talks Tees collaboration benefits Isla's Kindness Ambassadors, a youth-led initiative focused on kindness, leadership, community involvement, and positive outreach.

For every qualifying item sold from the designated Little Miss Wyoming 2026 collaboration collection, Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 to benefit Isla's Kindness Ambassadors.

Funds generated through this collaboration may help support appearances, youth leadership, kindness initiatives, community outreach, activities, events, supplies, educational efforts, and other activities associated with the initiative.

Giving Commitment: $2 per qualifying collaboration item sold

An Important Distinction

The Little Miss Wyoming 2026 collaboration is different from the independent nonprofit giving described elsewhere in this policy.

It is an authorized collaboration benefiting Isla's Kindness Ambassadors, rather than a representation that the funds are being donated to a tax-exempt charitable foundation.

We make this distinction so customers can clearly understand whether a purchase supports nonprofit work or a designated community initiative.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, support generated through this collaboration should not be interpreted as a tax-deductible charitable donation by the purchaser or as a contribution to a tax-exempt charitable organization.

Cause-Based Giving & Why We May Not Name a Specific Charity

Customers deserve to know what their purchases support.

At the same time, nonprofit organizations have different rules governing how businesses may use their names, trademarks, logos, and reputations in connection with commercial products and fundraising promotions.

Some nonprofit organizations maintain formal corporate partnership, cause-marketing, commercial co-venture, licensing, or promotional programs. These programs may include minimum financial commitments, eligibility requirements, written agreements, approval procedures, reporting requirements, or restrictions concerning how an organization's name may be used commercially.

As a growing independent small business, Sweet Talks Tees may not currently meet the financial thresholds or other requirements established by every organization for participation in its formal programs.

We respect those requirements.

We will not claim or imply that an organization has entered into a partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or other formal relationship with Sweet Talks Tees when it has not.

For that reason, when we do not have appropriate authorization to associate a particular nonprofit organization's name with a sales-based promotion, we may identify the cause being supported rather than a specific organization at the point of sale.

For example:

“Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 from the sale of this item toward nonprofit organizations supporting LGBTQ+ youth mental health and crisis services.”

This allows us to clearly disclose our financial commitment without suggesting that a particular nonprofit organization has sponsored, endorsed, approved, or partnered with Sweet Talks Tees.

It does not change our $2 giving commitment.

How We Select Recipient Organizations

When a product supports a general cause rather than an authorized campaign with a specifically identified organization, Sweet Talks Tees selects eligible nonprofit organizations whose work meaningfully relates to the designated cause.

Factors we may consider include:

  • nonprofit or charitable status;
  • mission and programs;
  • relationship to the designated cause;
  • transparency and reputation;
  • ability to accept contributions;
  • geographic reach;
  • current programs and community impact; and
  • policies concerning business donations and public identification.

Recipient organizations may change over time.

Changing the recipient organization does not change the designated cause or eliminate the contribution generated through qualifying purchases.

How Contributions Are Calculated

Sweet Talks Tees tracks qualifying sales under our Awareness & Advocacy giving program.

For every completed qualifying item sale, $2 is allocated toward its designated cause.

Our calculation is based on the number of qualifying items sold rather than the total value of an order.

Orders that are canceled, refunded in full, determined to be fraudulent, charged back, or otherwise not completed may be excluded from the final calculation.

Taxes, shipping charges, gift card purchases, and products that are not designated giving items do not generate a $2 allocation under this program unless otherwise expressly stated.

Our Homepage Awareness & Advocacy Ticker

Transparency shouldn't be limited to a policy page.

Sweet Talks Tees maintains a public ticker on our homepage displaying the total number of qualifying Awareness & Advocacy items sold.

We update this ticker as qualifying sales are recorded so customers can see the collective participation in our giving program.

Because our standard commitment is $2 per qualifying item sold, the ticker also gives customers a simple way to understand the amount of giving generated through qualifying Awareness & Advocacy purchases.

For example:

100 qualifying items sold × $2 = $200 allocated toward designated causes.

Our homepage ticker is intended to make our giving program more visible and accountable rather than requiring customers to rely solely on statements that we “give back.”

The ticker is an informational transparency tool and does not replace our underlying sales, accounting, or contribution records.

Orders can occasionally be canceled, refunded, charged back, or otherwise adjusted after an initial sale. If a discrepancy occurs between the public ticker and our verified internal records, our verified records will control and the ticker may be corrected accordingly.

Where an authorized collaboration or other campaign operates under different terms or requires separate reporting, those items may be tracked separately from the primary Awareness & Advocacy ticker.

How and When We Make Contributions

Sweet Talks Tees may accumulate the $2 allocations generated through qualifying purchases and make periodic contributions rather than submitting a separate $2 donation following every transaction.

This allows many individual $2 allocations to be combined into larger contributions.

Contribution timing may vary depending on sales volume, recipient requirements, the cause involved, and administrative considerations.

Regardless of when a contribution is transmitted, Sweet Talks Tees maintains records of the amount generated under our stated giving commitment.

Funds allocated for nonprofit giving under this program remain designated for nonprofit giving toward their assigned cause.

If an Organization Cannot Accept Our Contribution

There may be circumstances in which an organization we intended to support cannot accept a contribution.

This could result from changes to its programs, donation policies, eligibility requirements, administrative requirements, legal considerations, or other circumstances.

If this occurs, Sweet Talks Tees may select another eligible nonprofit organization whose work substantially aligns with the same designated cause.

Money already allocated toward nonprofit giving will not simply be converted back into ordinary business revenue because the originally considered recipient is unavailable.

Instead, we will make reasonable efforts to redirect the contribution to another eligible organization serving substantially the same cause.

Transparency & Giving Records

We don't want customers to simply take our word for it when we say we give back.

In addition to our homepage ticker, Sweet Talks Tees maintains records of contributions generated through our giving program.

Our goal is to provide a traceable path:

Qualifying Item Sold → Homepage Ticker → $2 Allocation → Designated Cause → Completed Contribution

We aim to provide Giving & Impact updates that may include:

  • the cause or initiative supported;
  • the applicable reporting period;
  • the number of qualifying items associated with the contribution;
  • the amount contributed or provided;
  • the date the contribution or support was provided; and
  • where appropriate and permitted, the nonprofit organization or initiative that received the funds.

Where possible, we may also publish donation receipts, confirmations, acknowledgments, payment records, or other documentation demonstrating that contributions were completed.

For privacy and security purposes, publicly displayed documentation may have transaction numbers, addresses, account information, personal information, or other sensitive information redacted.

Why a Recipient's Name May Not Appear in Our Public Records

Transparency is important to us, but so is respecting the policies of the organizations we support.

Making an independent contribution to an organization does not necessarily authorize Sweet Talks Tees to use that organization's name, logo, trademarks, or identity to promote our products.

When appropriate and permitted, Sweet Talks Tees may identify the nonprofit organization that ultimately received a contribution in our Giving & Impact records.

However, when public identification could improperly imply an endorsement, sponsorship, commercial partnership, licensing relationship, or other affiliation—or when an organization's policies restrict such use—we may publicly report the cause, amount, reporting period, and date of contribution without identifying the recipient organization.

Sweet Talks Tees will still maintain appropriate internal documentation of the completed contribution.

Independent Giving & No Implied Endorsement

Unless expressly stated otherwise, nonprofit contributions made through the Sweet Talks Tees Awareness & Advocacy program are independent contributions made by Sweet Talks Tees.

A nonprofit organization's receipt of a contribution does not mean that the organization:

  • sponsors Sweet Talks Tees;
  • endorses Sweet Talks Tees or our products;
  • designed or approved our merchandise;
  • licenses our products;
  • participates in the sale of our products; or
  • has entered into a formal partnership or collaboration with Sweet Talks Tees.

Sweet Talks Tees will not describe an organization as an official partner, sponsor, collaborator, or endorser unless we have appropriate authorization to do so.

Unless expressly identified as an authorized collaboration, Awareness & Advocacy merchandise is Sweet Talks Tees merchandise and is not official merchandise of a nonprofit recipient.

Our Small-Business Giving Model

Sweet Talks Tees believes a business should not have to wait until it becomes a large corporation before it starts giving back.

At the same time, we recognize and respect that nonprofit organizations must protect their names, reputations, trademarks, and charitable missions.

Some organizations establish financial thresholds or other requirements before businesses may participate in formal corporate partnerships, cause-marketing programs, commercial co-ventures, or licensed campaigns.

As a growing independent business, Sweet Talks Tees may not currently qualify for every formal program we would someday like to support.

Rather than claiming relationships we do not have—or abandoning charitable giving altogether—we have chosen a straightforward approach:

We designate a cause. We commit $2 from every qualifying item sold. We track what is generated. We contribute those funds toward eligible nonprofit organizations serving that cause. And we maintain records documenting those contributions.

Where we have an authorized community collaboration, such as the Little Miss Wyoming 2026 × Sweet Talks Tees collaboration benefiting Isla's Kindness Ambassadors, we identify that relationship separately and explain how that support works.

As Sweet Talks Tees grows, we hope our ability to give will grow with us and may allow us to establish additional formal nonprofit relationships in the future.

Until then, we believe transparency means being clear about both what we are doing and what we are not doing.

We will not intentionally inflate our giving totals, claim partnerships we do not have, or knowingly suggest that our charitable impact is greater than it actually is.

Every qualifying Awareness & Advocacy item represents another $2 allocated toward its designated cause, and we believe those individual contributions can add up to meaningful support.

New York Charitable Sales Disclosure

Sweet Talks Tees is based in New York State and strives to make our giving disclosures clear, specific, and easy for customers to understand.

New York Executive Law § 174-c, “Sales advertised to benefit a charitable organization,” addresses advertising representing that the sale of goods, services, entertainment, or another thing of value will benefit a charitable organization.

Among its requirements, § 174-c provides that applicable advertising state the anticipated portion of the sales price, anticipated percentage of gross proceeds, anticipated dollar amount per purchase, or other consideration or benefit that the charitable organization is expected to receive.

Consistent with the transparency principle reflected in this requirement, Sweet Talks Tees uses a specific dollar-based giving commitment rather than relying solely on general statements such as “a portion of proceeds.”

Unless different terms are clearly disclosed for a particular campaign:

Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 from every qualifying Awareness & Advocacy item sold toward the cause designated for that product.

Where a specific charitable organization is appropriately identified in connection with a qualifying promotion, our disclosure will identify the applicable $2-per-item commitment or any different contribution terms established for that particular campaign.

Where Sweet Talks Tees independently supports a charitable cause and is not authorized to associate a particular nonprofit organization's name with the commercial promotion of our products, we may identify the designated cause rather than suggesting an official relationship with a particular organization.

Our goal is to give customers concrete information about our financial commitment without overstating or implying a charitable partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation that does not exist.

Nothing in this policy is intended to represent that every giving activity described here constitutes a commercial co-venture or any other particular legal relationship. Our giving activities may differ depending on the nature of the cause, recipient, campaign, or authorized collaboration.

Customer Purchases Are Not Charitable Donations

When you purchase an Awareness & Advocacy product, you are purchasing merchandise from Sweet Talks Tees.

The associated $2 contribution is made by Sweet Talks Tees from our proceeds.

The customer is not making a separate $2 charitable donation through the transaction.

Sweet Talks Tees therefore does not issue charitable donation receipts to customers and does not represent that the $2 contribution is tax-deductible by the purchaser.

Customers who would like to make their own charitable contribution are encouraged to donate directly to an eligible nonprofit organization of their choice.

Product-Page Giving Disclosures

We aim to identify our giving commitment directly on qualifying product pages so customers can understand what their purchase supports before ordering.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, our standard disclosure for cause-based Awareness & Advocacy products is:

“Sweet Talks Tees allocates $2 from every qualifying item sold toward nonprofit organizations supporting the cause designated for this product.”

The applicable product page should also identify the cause supported.

Where Sweet Talks Tees has authorization to identify a particular nonprofit organization in connection with a promotion, the disclosure may identify that organization.

For authorized collaborations or community initiatives, the disclosure may instead identify the applicable initiative and explain how the $2 allocation benefits it.

If a future campaign uses a different contribution amount, percentage, campaign period, minimum contribution, maximum contribution, or other special condition, those terms will be separately disclosed.

Our Commitment to Accountability

Our Awareness & Advocacy giving program is built around a simple principle:

If we say a qualifying purchase generates $2 for a cause, customers should be able to trust that the $2 will be used for that purpose.

We are committed to:

  • clearly disclosing our standard $2-per-item giving commitment;
  • accurately tracking qualifying purchases;
  • maintaining our public Awareness & Advocacy sales ticker;
  • maintaining records of the corresponding allocations;
  • directing funds toward their designated causes or initiatives;
  • documenting completed contributions;
  • correcting errors or discrepancies when they occur;
  • respecting nonprofit organizations' rules regarding their names, trademarks, and branding;
  • distinguishing independent charitable giving from authorized community collaborations; and
  • never knowingly representing an organization as a partner, sponsor, or endorser when it is not.

We would rather be transparent about being a small business making modest contributions than make our giving program appear larger or more official than it really is.

Questions About Our Giving

We welcome questions about how our Awareness & Advocacy and designated giving programs work.

If you have questions regarding a particular product, its designated cause, a giving period, our homepage ticker, or our contribution practices, please contact:

Sweet Talks Tees
support@sweettalkstees.com

We believe awareness should lead to action, advocacy should come with accountability, and even a small business can make giving part of how it grows.

Changes to This Policy

Sweet Talks Tees may update this policy as our Awareness & Advocacy Collection grows, new causes or collaborations are introduced, recipient organizations change, our giving practices evolve, or applicable requirements change.

Changes to future recipient organizations do not eliminate contributions already generated under our $2-per-qualifying-item commitment.

Funds generated for a designated nonprofit cause will remain allocated toward that cause in accordance with this policy.
